سوات - فضا گٹ فوڈ سٹریٹ ( نزد بائی پاس ) پے دریا سوات میں اچانک شدید طغیانی سے 18 افراد دریا میں ڈوب گئے 18 میں سے 15 افراد کا تعلق ایک ہی خاندان سے تھا جو ڈسکہ سیالکوٹ ( پنجاب ) سے سیر و تفریح کے لیے آیا ہوا تھا . بچنے والے سیاح کے بقول وہ لوگ ناشتہ کر رہے تھے اور بچے دریا کے قریب تصویریں بنا رہے تھے کہ اچانک سیلابی ریلا آیا اور وہ لوگ پھنس گئے
مقامی افراد نے ریسکیو ٹیم کو اطلاع دی جو ڈیڑھ گھنٹے بعد پہنچی لیکن پہنچنے کے باوجود مناسب وسائل نہ ہونے کے باعث وہ ریسکیو اہلکار کچھ نہ کر سکے اور تمام لوگ انکے سامنے دریا میں بہہ گئے
اب تک 11 افراد کی لاشیں نکالی جا چکی ہیں . 1 شخص کو زندہ بچا لیا گیا ہے جبکہ 6 افراد ابھی بھی لاپتہ ہیں
ڈپٹی کمشنر نے بتایا کہ دریا کے قریب جانے پے پابندی ہے . جگہ جگہ بورڈ لگے ہیں لیکن لوگ پھر بھی دریا کے پاس جاتے ہیں
ریسکیو اہلکاروں کا دیر سے آنا اور پھر مناسب سہولیات نہ ہونا انتظامیہ کی شدید نااہلی کا ثبوت ہے .
دعا ہے کہ مرحومین کی اگلی منازل آسان ہوں اور خاندان والوں کو صبر عطا ہو
Swat - 18 people drowned in the river due to sudden heavy flooding in the river Swat. 15 of the 18 people belonged to the same family who had come from Daska, Sialkot (Punjab). According to the surviving tourist, they were having breakfast and the children were taking pictures near the river when suddenly the floodwaters came and they were trapped
Locals informed the rescue team which arrived after an hour and a half but despite reaching there, due to lack of proper resources, the rescue personnel could not do anything and all the people were swept away in the river in front of them.
So far, the dead bodies of 11 people have been recovered. 1 person has been rescued alive while 6 people are still missing.
The Deputy Commissioner said that there is a ban on going near the river. Boards have been put up at various places but people still go near the river.
The late arrival of rescue personnel and the lack of proper facilities are proof of the administration's severe incompetence.
I pray that the next destination of the deceased will be easy and the family members will be given patience.
