An arrest warrant has been issued for director and Emmy Award–winning actor Timothy Busfield for inappropriately touching a child.
Authorities in New Mexico issued an arrest warrant on Friday for director and Emmy Award–winning actor Timothy Busfield in connection with a child sexual abuse charge.
According to a criminal complaint filed by an Albuquerque police investigator, a child reported that Busfield touched him inappropriately. The alleged incidents took place on the set of the TV series The Cleaning Lady, where Busfield worked as a director and actor.
The child said the first incident occurred when he was 7 years old and involved three or four instances of inappropriate touching. He reported that Busfield touched him five or six more times when he was 8.
The child's mother told Child Protective Services that the alleged abuse happened between November 2022 and spring 2024.
Busfield's attorney and agent did not immediately respond to requests for comment on Friday.
