Police in Italy have arrested two Pakistani nationals in connection with the murder of four migrant workers who were found dead inside a burnt-out minivan. Reports have identified the victims as either four Pakistanis or three Afghans and one Pakistani.
CCTV footage reportedly shows two individuals blocking the van doors from the outside before pouring a liquid inside and setting the vehicle on fire.
According to reports, the incident is linked to ongoing tensions among migrant workers in the area. Authorities have recorded around 14 similar cases involving clashes between migrants and vehicles being set on fire. The disputes are reportedly driven by competition over farm work, accommodation, and access to better earnings and facilities, with workers competing for limited opportunities and resources.
