A young teacher, Riya, who was shopping for jewellery, reportedly asked for water to quench her thirst. According to reports, the shop owner sent a helper to purchase a sealed Bisleri bottle from a nearby shop.
Riya allegedly opened the bottle and drank from it without suspecting anything. However, the bottle reportedly contained acid instead of water.
She is currently admitted to the ICU and is reportedly fighting for her life.

According to reports, the shopkeeper has been arrested. He has claimed that the bottle was factory-sealed when it was opened.
