This transactional data was originally obtained by Washington based Centre for Advanced Defense Studies (C4ADS) and then was shared by Norwegian financial outlet E24 and Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP). Most of the data is obtained from Dubai Land Department (DLD). The data provides a detailed overview of hundreds of thousands of properties in Dubai and information about their ownership or usage, largely from 2020 and 2022.
This data is being called as Dubai Leaks , Property Leaks , Dubai Unlocked or Dubai Uncovered . This data ( report ) is titled " How Dirty Money Finds a Home in Dubai Real Estate ". The report is compiled by journalists from 74 different organisations of 58 countries.
Indian owners top the list while Pakistanis rank as the second-largest nationality owning properties in Dubai. Around 17,000 Pakistanis are listed in Dubai leaks who owns around 23000 properties in Dubai. Combine worth of properties owned by these Pakistanis is around 12.5 billion dollars.
